Dr. Kinariwala is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with specialized expertise in modern refractive surgery. Her clinical background includes LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange (lens replacement), and cataract surgery. She joins Porter Ophthalmology after serving as lead refractive surgeon at a vision correction practice in Pittsburgh, where she oversaw complex surgical planning and outcomes for patients seeking alternatives to glasses and contact lenses.

Dr. Kinariwala completed her undergraduate education at Pennsylvania State University before earning her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. During medical school, she was recognized for outstanding aptitude and excellence in ophthalmology and was inducted into the Hobart Amory Hare Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University at Buffalo, where she gained broad exposure to both medical and surgical ophthalmology prior to pursuing advanced subspecialty training.
She went on to complete a prestigious refractive surgery fellowship at Brinton Vision in St. Louis, training under nationally recognized leaders in laser vision correction and refractive lens-based procedures. Fellowship training of this type is designed to refine surgical judgment, enhance precision in preoperative planning, and prepare surgeons to manage a wide range of refractive conditions using evidence-based approaches. Dr. Kinariwala’s fellowship experience included advanced laser systems, implantable lens technology, and complex refractive case management.
